Hearts of Compassion put into Action
Koinonia Senior Care’s VISION is to be a model community of churches, neighbors, and businesses who bring moments of joy, honor, help, and hope to widows, widowers, and the aging, and their caregivers. To NOMINATE someone, email their name, their stroy, and possibly a picture of their compassion-in-action to [email protected] or text/call Christine at (316) 209-9028.
If you have witnessed someone who has met the criteria mentioned in our vision statment, nominate their name, and their story, and possibly a picture of them that captures them bringing a moment of joy, honor, help, and/or hope to one of God’s widows, widowers, the aging, or their caregivers.
These “moment-makers” do not typically want recognition as they serve out of a heart of compassion and many by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
We want to quietly recognize and affirm them with a special Blessing Gift for their heart of compassion put into action as they live out Colossians 3:12
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
With their permission, we will add their name to our Wall of Compassion to spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24
Thank you for volunteering with Koinonia Senior Care! We could not exist without our volunteers giving their time, talents, and treasures to God’s work here at KSC. Most are prayer warriors, the most powerful gift to KSC! Some serve on our Board of Directors team, supplying mentorship and oversight to the ministry. Others help with Blessing Gifts, Newsletter assembly, sale fundraisers, organizational projects, visits to seniors, ambassadors in their church, or are part of our weekly Bible study.
Our Volunteers are priceless!
May God fill your cup to overflowing as you give of yourself to the Lord’s service, and may God continue the ripple effect of all we do to touch the lives of seniors, caregivers, and our community for His Glory!
