Blessing Gift Delivery Tips

     Blessing Gifts Delivery Tips – May you feel blessed in blessing others!

Blessing Gifts are creative expressions of encouragement, personally delivered to homebound seniors with a 15–30-minute visit.  These visits help alleviate isolation and loneliness while showing honor and bringing meaningful interaction to those who feel forgotten much of the time.

“I don’t know who gets the bigger blessing; me or them!” – Blessing Gift volunteer

Thank you for taking time to deliver this Blessing Gift to an elderly widow, widower, or home-bound senior who needs a little encouragement and a friendly reminder that she/he is:

“Loved by God
Thought of by others, and
Prayed for by you”

If you can’t think of what to say, below are some ideas of things you can “write” on a separate sheet of paper or on the back of the card:

God thinks you’re someone special – and so do I!  Are there any ways that I family can be praying for you?  (If you feel comfortable, take time to pray for them & their prayer requests before you leave.)

May the Lord bless you and keep you;
May the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace
Numbers 6:24-26

Other fun ideas include sending mail (even scribble art from the kiddos!), having communion with them or baking them some home-made bread or a whole meal!

Prayed for by you.

Blessing Gift Testimonials

Dear Gwendolyn and all of your helpers,
I wanted to send a note to thank you so much for the Easter Lily plant, the sweet familiar hymn, the thoughtful egg with the prayer quilt, and the visit from the kindest Ann.  It really means a lot to us to be thought of.  We miss attending Sunday services at our home campus so much, but we do enjoy attending the online service each Sunday morning

I know it takes a lot of time, work, and  planning to do something like this.  WE wanted to let you know how much you all are appreciated for your kindness.  You all are very special.

Sincerely,
S & D
